Yesterday, we said goodbye to Costa Rica, hopped on a plane, and arrived in beautiful Guatemala, where we will be serving in ministry for the next two months!
This destination looks a bit different for H Squad. Our teams within our squad have all been assigned to different ministries throughout Guatemala; we will no longer be living under one roof or serving in the same ministry. While this will be an adjustment from the last two months, I know the Lord is preparing us for abundant growth within our teams in this season.
Our team will be serving in Chichicastenango, known for its indigenous Mayan culture and colorful craft market!
We will be partnering in ministry with New Generations Church, where we will be serving at a local school. (I’ve also heard rumors of us working on a construction project as well!)
I am confident the Lord has divinely anointed us for what lies ahead and has carefully prepared a place for us.
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” -John 14:3
Thank you, Jesus, for your protection, your guidance, and this magnificent opportunity!
Chichicastenango, here we come!
P.S. Last night, we all got to spend a night together in worship as a squad before we are split up. It was beautiful. We were worshipping and praising the Lord when two beautiful natural phenomenons occurred at the same time:
1. A volcano near us erupted; we saw beautiful lava pouring out atop the mountain!
2. A shooting star flashed brightly across the sky!
Wow, Jesus, we see you. We are here, ready to do your work, God. Do your thing.
I can’t wait for y’all to love on those precious children of God! Y’all are definitely Jesus’ hands and feet! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
