Hi all! Update for you: Today we are flying from our launch site in Georgia to our first country, Costa Rica!

We just wrapped our squad launch at Adventures in Missions, where we've been prepping for our upcoming mission and ministry assignments! Word Race, here we are!

Due to COVID  our launch looked a little different for us this year than it has been for previous squads:

  1. Our "community" was a bit spread out.  Our squad was divided out into our smaller teams, and we were required to physically distance from the other teams on our squad.

  1. We were required to wear our masks at all times, except for eating and sleeping.

  2. We were all required to get COVID tested before launch and we were required to do daily health assessments and will continue this daily on the field.

  3. We lived our lives for these five days in a taped off rectangle on the floor within each of our own teams (this means eating, sleeping, sessions, discussion, worship, team time, etc. within a taped-off space.)

What have came out of this for me? Y'all, I'm excited and THANKFUL.

1. I'm thankful Adventures in Missions is taking the precautions necessary to ensure we are all safe and can launch to our first country to spread the love of Jesus!

2. I'm thankful Adventures in Missions is being sensitive to the safety and comfort of others we will be in contact with.

3. I'm thankful Adventures in Missions is taking the cautious steps to put our loved ones at-ease in regards to our own health and safety on the field.

Yes, Launch might look a little different this year, but I'm thankful to have this opportunity and to be able to spread the Word of Jesus and the love of Jesus in the midst of a pandemic with those around us!

Additional exciting news:

• I will be leading a women's ministry called Beauty for Ashes that is focused on allowing women to share their stories and making them feel seen, loved, heard, and uplifted in the name of Jesus.

• I will be serving in a Storyteller Writer position where I will be keeping you updated through my personal blog (here), as well as also writing for the World Race corporate blog once a month!

I am so excited for these two opportunities for ministry! May the Lord give me the exact words each person needs and the heart, eyes, ears, and hands that are needed for the people around me.

May the Lord guide our paths and keep us all safe as we embark to Jaco, Costa Rica!
